What to Expect
PRE-REGISTRATION
Available online until June 14, 2021, at Noon MDT. Register above to sign up.
PRE-JUDGING
Our three judges will grade according to certain aspects, such as craftsmanship, stage presence, and so forth. Starting in 2021, all pre-judging will be by appointment. Keep an eye on your inbox for the final schedule, which will be sent out a month before the convention.
THE CONTEST
Walk on stage, and strut your stuff! (More details will be provided on entry to the contest.)
Categories
Youth
For ages 12 and under.
Novice
Contestants who have never won an award from a cosplay contest.
Intermediate
Contestants who have won 1 to 2 awards from a cosplay contest.
Master
Contestants who have won 3 or more awards from a cosplay contest.
Stage Presence
For the contestant who owns the stage and their character; any level can achieve this award.
Thrifty
70% of the cosplay is altered/repurposed thrift/second-hand items with at least one item made by the contestant.
Judge’s Choice
This award is granted by the judges, based on their criteria.
